He started writing songs at the age of 11 and at 15 is when he recorded his first song "in the club" under a group he had formed with his childhood bestfriend "Frank" but due to financial constraints it never had any airplay. He later went on to work with Hannz, Andy music and now currently works with Amani Greene who produced 2 of his current songs "kampala we party" featuring Lio and "Cammelia".
J2 attended Primary school at Rev. John Foundation Kitintale, O'level at Progressive SS Bweyogerere Currently Luyanzi College. A'level at Seroma Christian High School and is Currently pursuing Bachelor of Science in Marketing at MUBS.
This year he founded Drummerboy Records a recording company aimed at supporting many upcoming musicians with quality records.
